  Release: Windows NT MOSEL Driver 2.8
  Last Updated: 4/9/97
  Copyright (c) 1994-1997

  The Windows NT MOSEL Driver supports MOSEL SCSI
  Adapters for the Windows NT 3.51 and Windows 4.0 Releases. The
  driver may work under Windows NT 3.50 and earlier releases but
  operation under these releases is not supported.

  NOTE: The MOSEL release diskette WINDOWS.NT directory contains
  only WINNT.TXT. All other WINDOWS.NT files listed below have been
  placed in the root directory of the release diskette. This allows the
  diskette to be used directly, as described below, to install the
  Windows NT driver.

  WINNT.TXT        Installation Instructions
  DISK1 Windows NT diskette identification file
  TXTSETUP.OEM Windows NT desktop installation file
  OEMSETUP.INF Windows NT new installation file
  ASC.SYS          MOSEL Windows NT driver

  New Windows NT Installation
  ===========================

  At the end of the diskette phase of a new Windows NT installation,
  you will be asked whether you want to: "Specify Additional Driver".
  Answer yes by selecting 'S' and list of drivers will be presented.
  From this list select "Other". When asked to enter a diskette, insert
  the "Windows NT Mosel Driver" diskette.

  After the Mosel driver is found on the diskette, select its name.
  The driver will then be loaded and will search for an Mosel SCSI
  adapter installed in the system.

  If an Mosel SCSI adapter is found and the driver is successfully
  loaded, Windows NT will display a message indicating that the driver
  was loaded. After this message is displayed, press "Enter" to continue
  the installation.

  Determining the Mosel Driver Version
  =======================================

  To determine the version number of the Mosel Windows NT driver
  use the File Manager to look at the "Properties->Version" of the
  Mosel driver file \XXX\system32\drivers\asc.sys. XXX is the directory
  of the currently running Windows NT system. XXX is typically \WINNT.
  The File Manager "View" options setting must be set to "All Files" to
  allow "asc.sys" to be visible in the directory "drivers".

  Supported Adapters
  ==================

  The CDB counts below indicate the number of SCSI CDB (Command
  Descriptor Block) requests that can be stored in the RISC chip
  cache and board LRAM. A CDB is a single SCSI command. This value
  can be lowered in the BIOS by changing the 'Host Queue Size' adapter
  setting.
