The Symbios NetWare DMI 2.0 SDMS Component Instrumentation runs as a NetWare 
service. It reports asset and configuration information for the adapters and 
devices controlled by the Symbios NetWare driver.

o Dynamic AMS support for LANDesk 3.0
       If AMS for LANDesk 3.0 is present, then the CI will register with it.
       If AMS for LANDesk 3.0 is not present, then the CI will still load a
       function correctly.

o Support for the 4.XX based NetWare drivers

o Support for the 5.xx based NetWare drivers

o Support for the SYMHINW.HAM driver, which supports the SYM53C896 device and 
  SYM22910 host adapter.

*****************************  Hardware Requirements ***************************  

The component instrumentation works with all Symbios PCI-SCSI I/O Processors that 
are supported by the SDMS BIOS and drivers. 


*****************************Software Requirements******************************  

0  A DMI 2.0 Service provider must be installed and running.

o  Version 4.00.14 or higher of the Symbios SYM8XXNW.HAM driver
   -OR-
   Version 4.0014 or higher of the Symbios SYMHINW.HAM driver.

o  Version 4.11 or 5.0 of NetWare.


*****************************Release Restrictions ******************************

o  This product does not support the following fields:

   Bus Port Association / Negotiated Speed
   

o  This product is not designed to work with a LANDesk version greater than 3.0. 


******************Installation Instructions for NetWare ********************** 

To load the NetWare CI Service:

1. Copy the symbios2.mif to system\dmi\netware\mifs\backup directory. 

2. Copy symcinw2.nlm to the system directory.  

3. After the 2.0 service provider, ONCP.nlm, NWDMI2.nlm, and NWCDMI.nlm
   have started, you can start the NETWARE CI by typing

       load symcinw2
