Resolution

WinPortrait supports 1024 x 768 and 800 x 600 at 256 colors. Try both of them with your applications and see which offers the best combination of image quality and screen content for your needs. At 1024 x 768 more data is displayed on the screen but the characters will be smaller.

For selected Video Boards, WinPortrait supports 1152 x 864 and 1280 x 1024 at 256 colors. If your driver supports these resolutions, the appropriate driver buttons will be enabled.

Font Size

The System Font in Windows determines the size of the font in the title bars, menus, and in applications that don't allow you to vary font size. The system font has nothing to do with the size of fonts in applications, where the fonts can be adjusted from within the application to any size. The large system fonts make the menus easier to read and select. The trade-off is that large system fonts take up more room on the screen. Try both to determine your preferrence.

Startup Orientation

This selection allows you to specify which orientation the display assumes when Windows is started.

Rotate Key

The Rotate Key is a key combination that you use to rotate the screen image. Select a combination that will not interfere with other HOT-KEYS used in your application programs.
