		   Diamond Control V3.01
		   ---------------------
					       February 11 1997

This file contains important information about Diamond Control.

Front Panel Locking
-------------------

Diamond Control will automatically lock and disable the front
panel controls (buttons) of the following monitors when it is
running:

	Diamond Pro 17TX
	Diamond Pro 87TXM
	Diamond Pro 21T
	Diamond Pro 21TX
	Diamond Scan 20H
	Diamond Pro 20X
	Diamond Pro 91TXM

When Diamond Control is closed or minimized to an icon, the
front panel controls will be automatically unlocked. Please
refer to the on-line help for additional information.

Command Line Options
--------------------

The following command line options can be used by changing the
COMMAND LINE options.

In Windows 3.1 edit using the "File -Properties" menu of the
Program Manager.

In Windows 95 use the "Taskbar Properties" on the Settings - Taskbar
to edit the "Target:" in the Shortcut tab by right clicking the
Diamond Control icon.

/u - USER MODE:
     e.g. Command line = "c:\windows\dcontrol\dcontrol.exe /u"

This restricts the Window to normal size where only brightness,
contrast, color, power management and degauss controls are
available. Note that all controls will be available if run from
the control panel.

/m - MULTIPLE INSTANCES:
     e.g. Command line = "c:\windows\dcontrol\dcontrol.exe /m"

This allows more than one instance (copy) to run at once.
Use this option if the PC is being used to control more than
one monitor.

Diamond Pro 2OX Monitor
-----------------------

This monitor is functionally identical to the Diamond Scan 20H.
Follow the online help directions for the Diamond Scan 20H
monitor if you are using the Diamond Pro 2OX.

Diamond Scan 17FS Monitor
-------------------------

In order to use the power management features of this monitor,
the "POWER SAVE" switch on the back of the monitor must be in
the ON position.

Diamond Pro 21T Monitor
-----------------------

Recovery from the "Complete Off" power management mode requires
recycling the power switch on the front of the monitor.

Running Diamond Control on Windows 95
-------------------------------------

Since Windows 95 now supports VESA DPMS Power Management, it is
no longer necessary to use the Power Management features provided
by Diamond Control.

To set the monitor Power Management parameters, select the Screen
Saver tab in the Display Properties Control Panel. You can disable
the Diamond Control Power Management by selecting "Disabled" in
the Power Management dialog box. Consult the online help for more
detailed instructions on disabling Power Management.

Running Diamond Control on Windows NT
-------------------------------------

This version of Diamond Control is not supported on operating
systems other than Windows 3.1 and Windows 95. However, Diamond
Control has been tested on Windows NT and works, except for
monitor Power Management.

If you intend to use Diamond Control on Windows NT, set the
Power Management to "Disabled" in the Diamond Control Power
Management dialog box. Consult the online help for detailed
instructions about disabling Power Management.

If your version of Windows NT supports VESA DPMS monitor power
management you should use this for monitor power management.
