You  have  just  opened the NetWare READ.ME  file.   It  contains
instructions on the  Novell  NetWare  driver installation for the
ACCTON EtherCombo-32 LAN adapters :

The driver installation procedures for Novell NetWare 3.1x and 4.0x
are discussed as "Installation Procedures".

NOTE :

   a.	For your convenience, the ACCTON Hardware Driver Disk is not
	copy  protected.   Before you start  with  the	installation
	process,  make	a  backup copy of this	diskette.   Use  the
	backup as your working diskette.  Keep the original and  use
	it only to make backup copies.

   b.	EtherCombo-32 are supported for only EISA machine.

1. Novell NetWare Version 4.0x Server Driver

   1.2	Installation Procedure

	1.2.1  Things You Need

	       Before you  start with the installation	process make sure
	       you have the following :

	       a.  ACCTON Hardware Driver Disk
	       b.  Novell NetWare 386 Version 4.0 System Diskette or CD ROM.

	1.2.2  How To Install O.S. Driver

	       a.  Insert  the ACCTON Hardware Driver  Disk into  drive A
		   and check the contents of subdirectory  \NETWARE\V40x.
		   It should contain the following file :

		   EN40ODI.LAN  Novell NetWare V4.0x Server Driver.
		   EN40ODI.LDI  Novell NetWare V4.0x Server Driver's
				   Installation Information File.


	       b.  At the NetWare prompt (indicated by the Server name), run
		   INSTALL.NLM program, by typing :

		    server name: LOAD INSTALL <Enter>


		c.  Select  'Maintenance/Selective Install' <Enter>


		d.  Then select 'LAN Driver Options (Configure/Load/...)'<Enter>


		e.  Press <Insert> key on your keyboard to specify other driver
		    will be installed.


		f.  Press <F3> key on your keyboard to give the driver loading
		    path A:\NETWARE\V40x  <Enter>


		g.  After that you will see EN40ODI.LAN appear as an item under
		    'Select a LAN Driver' menu. Select it to start the driver
		    loading and binding procedure. You will load and bind all
		    4 frame types supported by NetWare.


		h.  Next time when you reboot your 4.0x server you will not
		    need diskette again but just follow procedure b. to d.
		    to complete installation.

   1.2	Installation Procedure

	1.2.1  Things You Need

	       Before you  start with the installation	process make sure
	       you have the following :

	       a.  ACCTON Hardware Driver Disk
	       b.  Novell NetWare 386 Version 3.11 System Diskette

	1.2.2  How To Install O.S. Driver

	       a.  Insert  the ACCTON Hardware Driver  Disk into  drive A
		   and check the contents of subdirectory  \NETWARE\V31x.
		   It should contain the following file :

		   EN32ODI.LAN  Novell NetWare 386 V3.11 Server Driver

	       b.  Copy the contents of the Novell NetWare 386 Version
		   3.1x  System  Diskette  into  your  NetWare 386 server
		   station hard disk. Please refer to your Novell NetWare
		   386 Installation Manual for details.

	       c.  Copy the EN32ODI.LAN file from the ACCTON Hardware Driver
		   Disk into the NetWare 3.1x server hard disk.

	       d.  Run SERVER.EXE on the server station.  Several NetWare
		   messages will be shown on-screen.

	       e.  Add the following setting  to the  STARTUP.NCF of your
		   NetWare 3.1x operation system by loading INSTALL.NLM.

		   SET MAXIMUM PHYSICAL RECEIVE PACKET SIZE = 1520
		   SET MINIMUM	PACKET RECEIVE BUFFERS = 100

	       f.  At the NetWare 386 prompt (indicated by a colon),  run
		   the	driver	program, type :

		   : LOAD [d:]EN32ODI  <Enter>

		   (Command Syntax : LOAD [d:]<Driver Name>)

		   Follow  the	instruction  to  select  the  appropriate
		   slot  which	the EtherCombo-32 is pluge in.	Allowable
		   values for slots  will  be  shown on-screen.  When you
		   load the driver program, your screen will display  the
		   following messages :

		   Loading module EN32ODI.LAN
		   Supported slot value are : 3
		   Slot : 3

		   (Enter appropriate slot and press <Enter>)

	       g.  Bind IPX with ACCTON LAN driver, at the Netware server
		   prompt, type :

		   :BIND IPX EN32ODI <Enter>

		   After  pressing <Enter> the computer prompts  you  for
		   the Network Number.	For details on how to assign this
		   number,  please consult your NetWare 386  Installation
		   Manual.

		   If  problems  occur during the binding  process,  your
		   screen  will prompt you with error  messages.   Please
		   refer to your NetWare 386 manual for details on  these
		   messages.   The LAN driver installation  is	completed
		   when you see the following message on-screen :

		   IPX LAN Protocol bound to ACCTON EtherCombo-32 EN1200
		   vx.xx (yymmdd).

   2.2	Installation Procedure
	2.2.1  Things You Need
	       Before you start with the installation  process make  sure
	       you have the following :

	       a.  ACCTON ACCTON Hardware Driver Disk
	       b.  Novell DOS ODI WORKSTATION SERVICES diskette including
		   EC32MLID.COM and EC32MLID.INS.

	2.2.2  How To Install
	       You need following five files to install DOS ODI DRIVER.

	       a. LSL.COM	    ---- supported by Novell
	       b. EC32MLID.COM	    ---- NIC driver,supported by Accton
	       c. IPXODI.COM	    ---- supported by Novell
	       d. NETx.COM	    ---- supported by Novell
		      or
		  EMSNETx.EXE
		      or
		  XMSNETx.EXE
		      or
		  VLM.EXE	    ---- Virtual Loadable Module

	       e. NET.CFG	    ---- optional,configuration file, this
					 file will generate automatically
					 if the driver installation file
					 exist when driver installation.

	       After boot your workstation,  type  following comments on
	       the console:

		  LSL	      <Enter>
		  EC32MLID    <Enter>
		  IPXODI      <Enter>
		  NETx	      <Enter>  ----- or other alternative choices.

	       then,you can log in to the file server.

	       Normally,  you will not need  a	NET.CFG file because  the
	       established defaults should be adequate for your  network.
	       But if you do not want to use the  default hardware jumper
	       setting, you must modify the NET.CFG file contents.

	       Bellow is a sample NET.CFG file:
