This directory contains Accton's Ethernet DOS/ODI drivers that
support NetWare version 3.x and 4.0, NetWare Lite, and other ODI interface
applications.

             PCMMLID.COM : DOS/ODI Driver for NetWare 3.x and 4.0.
             MPXPCM.COM : DOS/ODI MPX Driver for NetWare 3.x only.
This driver offers higher performance under
                           the NetWare 3.x environment.

To make installation easier when using 1STEP with NetWare 4.0, we also put
a copy of "PCMMLID.COM" in the c:\DOS subdirectory.

Note that the PCMCIA Adapter Enabler, ACCOPEN.EXE, must be executed
before using either the PCMMLID.COM or MPXPCM.COM driver.

This version of "PCMMLID.COM" provides the "Hot-Swap" capability. This
capability works only when a Card Service driver is installed. This
function has the following new features under the NETX and VLM environments:

* After logging on to a Novell server, if the current drive is a net
drive (e.g. N:), and the user is at the DOS prompt,
the removal of the PCMCIA network adapter will cause the current drive to
be switched to the local drive (e.g. C:.) If the adapter is reinserted
before the network operating system time-outs, the current drive will
be switched back to the original net drive (i.e. N:.).

* After logging on to a Novell server, the removal of the network adapter
in the middle of a network application suspends the application.
If the adapter is inserted back before the network time-outs, the network
  application resumes.

It is however, not advisable to remove the network adapter in the middle
of an active network session. This may corrupt data in transmission and
cause the session to hang. It is only recommended to remove a network
  adapter at the DOS prompt.
