v1.1: 6.12.98

_hello. thank you for coming. some things have changed.
go to the website if you want to know anything
http://www.orangeminds.com/tripex.
don't read this. you'll learn nothing.
> added low-res star effect
> added crossfading between effects
> changed the log window. because it sucked.
> swore at the config box. swore at visual c++ manuals. swore because
it was all orientated around mfc not plain win32. looked up
superclassing on the internet. swore. rewrote config box.
  smiled glibbly.
> played too much carmageddon 2.

_install it
unzip it into your winamp\plugins directory. put everything in here, or
it might say rude things to you. and you'll only have yourself to blame.
you should have some files

. tripex.dll	(that is it)
. tripex.txt	(this is it)
. tripex.ini	(will run on defaults without, but won't find any textures)
. ??????.3df	(these fellas are textures)

_set it up
you can pick textures for each effect in the config box. to change the
list of textures you can pick from, go to tripex/general/texture library
and add some files. ones with ticks by them are being used by an effect.
play with it. you'll catch on.

_delete it
see if i care.

_email me
tripex is freeware. oh hang on. no. mmm. kinda. tripex is SESSION-WARE.
see website for details and corporate licensing information. uhuh. oh
yeah. really. gag. tell me if you find any bugs, too. tell me about
them. are they big bugs, little bugs, yellow bugs? what?

it isn't my fault if i do anything bad to your computer. usual disclaimer.
use it at your own risk. trespassers will be prosecuted.

_help me
if you can think of any good ideas for effects, or you've written any (3dfx
or not), tell me. give me your sources. you get credit. come join us.

_i made this
code is by me (ben marsh or doped or banjo bill)
textures are public domain. maybe stolen. pah. tut tut. just say, ok?
don't be shy. some of them are by dom. i thought you should know that.
oh, and the distortion effect was based on a bit of his code, too.
you might have seen some of the effects before. that's because i
gratuitously copied them. concentric rings thingy from toasted /
cubic team & $een, bezier cube from bjor / tpolm (couldn't find the
equation for a spline explained decently anywhere) and tentacle thingy
from 303 / acme. and the lightbob things are standard orange stuff.
they probably don't look as good as the originals, but that's what you
get if you try to copy something. whoops, i appear to have changed a
#define. dense? nowt else.

_can we go now?
