Warp Speed Calculator
=====================

Installation.
-------------
You've obviously unzipped the file, WARP.ZIP, because you are reading this!

The executable file is WARP.EXE

The application was written with Visual Basic 5.0, and needs the MSVBVM50.DLL
runtime file in your Windows System directory. If you do not already have
a copy of this file, it can be found at various places on the net, including
Microsoft's site.

Function
--------
You can use a scroll bar to scan through warp values from 0 to 9.999. In order
to calculate warp speeds of higher than 9.999 you must enter the exact value in
the text box provided. The warp speed is shown in terms of light speed and also
in terms of metres per second.

The formula used gives an accurate result up to warp 9. Thereafter, all values
are derived through linear interpolation of known values from the Encyclopedia.
A small flag indicates whether the result is Established or Interpolated.

Bleeding Heart Section
----------------------
The Romulan/Rihannsu empire is growing!! RomuSoft... well, it sounded Romulan.

The program WARP.EXE is freeware, so don't worry about copying it. I'm not
looking for any payment as the program was conceived whilst I was reading
Compuserve's magazine in the bathroom, and the then hurriedly written
during a particularly wet and miserable Tuesday afternoon in England. Having
said that, it always fills my heart with hope for the future when someone
is bothered to send me an email telling me what they think of my work.

Hope you enjoy the program. Jolan Tru, from Toras tr'Khellian (Tal Shiar)
also known on Earth as Kenulf of Mercia.
